One of the aims of the F2G project is to transfer competences, both to students, researchers and practitioners (including here both professionals and grassroots activists). In the previous section we provided an overview of the cases we have investigated. In this section we will go more in detail on "how to develop food related projects".

Planning the projects

The literature is rich of models providing indications on how to develop initiatives in the community (referred often as "interventions"). You may have heard of the Precede-Proceed model or the bicycle model or the log frame model. at the core of these models is the idea that Implementing Interventions is a process of assuring that key aspects of promising approaches are put into practice as intended and to meet local needs. In planning interventions is important to involve the local community, establish and agree some goals, define how to reach these goals and fin the necessarily resources, monitor the initiatives in order to be be able to make changes if necessary. A good way of visualizing this process is the project cycle
